Olympians, Champions and Legends of the Game Will Lead Star-Studded 4-Man Teams Competing for a $200,000 Prize Purse

The Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational returns in 2026, bringing international and American beach volleyball superstars, Olympians and legends of the game together for one of the sport’s most exciting and grueling competitions.

Hosted against the iconic backdrop of the Newport Beach Pier, the fourth annual Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational will feature elite men’s and women’s four-man teams battling through an action-packed, single-day tournament for a $250,000 prize purse.

Since its debut in 2023, the Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational has quickly established itself as a marquee celebration of the sport, pairing world-class competition with the energy and tradition of Southern California beach volleyball. The unique four-man format brings together athletes from across generations and disciplines, creating matchups fans rarely have the opportunity to see anywhere else.

“This event was created to celebrate everything that makes beach volleyball special—the athletes, the competition, the history and the incredible community surrounding the sport,” said Kevin Martin of Eagle Four Partners and event co-founder. “Each year, we have continued to raise the bar, and in 2026 we look forward to bringing another extraordinary field of players to Newport Beach for a day of competition unlike anything else in the sport.”

The Invitational’s demanding format challenges some of the world’s most accomplished players to compete for their share of $200,000 in prize money in a single day, delivering high-level competition from the opening serve through the championship matches.

“The Newport Beach Pier is one of the best settings imaginable for this event,” said Steve Obradovich, AVP Hall of Famer and co-founder of the Newport Beach Volleyball Invitational. “The four-man game is fast, physical and incredibly entertaining, and when you put the best players in the world on the sand together, anything can happen. We’re excited to bring another incredible field to Newport Beach in 2026 and give fans a full day of beach volleyball they won’t see anywhere else.”
